Traditional Villa with Pool near Chania
The villa is located in the traditional village of Vamos 25kms away from the city of Chania 32kms from the international airport, which is directly connected to many major European cities, 20kms from Souda port and 5kms from the beaches of the northern part of Crete.
Based in Vamos someone can easily access the archaeological sites of Cretan Minoan civilization (Knossos,Festos), organise excursions (Samaria gorge, pathways) and visit the famous lagoon beaches of southern and western Crete.
The house was originally built of stone in the early 19th century and wine was produced in the adjoining smaller building. The two buildings have been recently completely renovated keeping intact all the traditional architectural elements and using the top of construction materials, accommodating up to 10 guests.
The main house and the smaller one are situated in a 2.000sq.m piece of land, the main house consisting of two levels and lofts in the bedrooms of the upper floor while the smaller house has one level and a large loft. There is also a 5,50 x 11,00 m fresh water swimming pool equipped with a hydro massage and external shower. The pool is situated next to a large green grass garden. Shaded wooden pergolas for relaxation and a dining area are also included together with a private parking area for two cars with remote controlled door. The whole property is a large oasis in the limits of Vamos village offering a walking distance benefit for groceries and tavernas.
The main house ground floor consists of a large sitting and dining area of 55sq.m, a fireplace, a large fully equipped modern kitchen with a breakfast table next to the old traditional kitchen and a bedroom with twin beds, ensuite bathroom and a private entrance as well.
The main house upper floor has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The first is a double-bed bedroom with an internal wooden staircase that leads to a loft where there is another smaller twin-bed bedroom. The second is a sitting room with a sofa that can easily be transformed into a double bed and an internal wooden staircase that leads to a loft of a twin-bed bedroom. Both bedrooms have their own large verandas with unlimited view and sitting areas.
The adjoining smaller house (Winery) consists of a sitting and dining room and an open fully equipped Kitchen,fireplace, a wardrobe room, a large bathroom and a wooden staircase that leads to a large loft with a twin bed bedroom.
All bedrooms are equipped with TV, satellite TV, individual central heating and Wi-Fi.
